Blackjack Birthday

This cake was for twins who where turning 21. Their parents are taking them to Las Vegas for their birthday so they wanted to get them a casino themed cake. I immediately thought of blackjack since that is 21! I made the cake a hexagon and covered it in black and green fondant to look like a poker table. I then used edible images to decorate each face of the hexagon. Blackjack cards, a welcome to Las Vegas sign, and two Dos Equis bottles did the trick. I purposely chose Dos Equis beer since the cake was for twins. Continue reading
