Wedding cakes usually sit on top of a
stand or board for support. The cake
can be placed directly onto a decorative
stand, however if the cake is assembled
before transport it needs a cake board
to support it. The cake board shown was
covered in Fondant to match the rest of
the cake and finished off with a
decorative ribbon. Alternatively the
cake board can be covered in a
decorative, food safe paper.
