Different kinds of flowers can be added
to the cake as decoration. Real flowers
that are considered edible can
be placed on the cake by a florist, or
gumpaste flowers can be hand made by
the cake decorator. Gum paste is a
pliable "sugar dough" that can be
shaped like modeling clay.
