This past weekend I made a cupcake tower for a fall wedding. There were three different cupcake flavors, red velvet, chocolate and vanilla, all topped with ivory vanilla buttercream. The bride chose three different color cupcake papers. The orange matched the flowers in her bouqet and the green matched the grooms military uniform that he wore for the wedding. Each cupcake was topped with a fondant leaf in a coordinating color.
The top tier of the cupcake tower was an 8 inch round chocolate cake, filled with chocolate mousse and frosted in ivory buttercream. A leaf vine design was piped around the cake with fondant leaves in coordinating colors.
