Red Wedding Cake With Scroll Work

Red Wedding Cake

This past Wednesday I attended my first bridal show as a vendor and it was an amazing night. I created this beautiful red scroll design wedding cake to put on display at the show. I also made some cake samples and chocolate truffles for the perspective bride’s and their families to try. I received a lot of great feedback from the attendees and I look forward to doing more bridal shows in the future.

The cake has alternating layers of red and white fondant. The bottom tier is adorned with white patchwork cutter daisies and red scroll work done in royal icing. The third tier has red cornelli lace, and the top cake is coverd in gumpaste carnations.

I soon rediscovered my passion for baking and cake decorating. I would always bring back new ingredients and ideas from the places I visited and incorporate them into my cake recipes. Read More…
