This beautiful gerbera daisy wedding cake was made for an outdoor wedding held at a local vineyard called Four Sisters Winery. I always recommend going with a fondant covered cake for outdoor weddings since it adds a layer of protection from the elements. The bride and groom took my suggestion, so this cake was covered in ivory fondant.
The rope borders and monogram were colored Kelly green to match the bridesmaids dresses. Bright orange and yellow gerbera daisies were hand made out of gumpaste and colored to match the wedding flowers. Some simple vine-like scroll work in ivory royal icing finished it off.
