Dungeons and Dragons 20 Sided Die Cake

Dungeons and Dragons Cake

Having known many friends in High School who played Dungeons and Dragons my initial reaction to making a 20 sided die cake was YES! I can do that!

As the date of the delivery approached I started to realize just what I had gotten myself into. Carving a cake that has 20 different sides was a lot more difficult than I had imagined. Keeping track of all 20 sides alone is enough to give anyone a headache. I bought a real 20-sided die to use as my model which was a very smart move. In the end I was able to produce a cake with 20 sides, and the customer was very pleased with the result.

Update: I recently wrote a post about how I made this Dungeons and Dragons 20-sided die cake.

After graduating from college in 2003 I went to work as a Chemical Engineer. My new job gave me the chance to travel the world and experience many foods and cultures I had never known before. I soon rediscovered my passion for baking and cake decorating. I would always bring back new ingredients and ideas from the places I visited and incorporate them into my cake recipes. Read More…
