Baby Shower Cupcake Toppers

I made these adorable baby shower cupcake toppers out of a fondant.  The mom-to-be loves cupcakes so they were a great choice.

Baby Shower Cupcake Toppers

For the rattle, pacifier, letter blocks and carriage I actually pressed the fondant into chocolate molds I got at a local craft store. I then used luster dust mixed with a little lemon extract to pait on some accents. The bib was had made by cutting out a circle of fondant and then removing a smaller circle from the top of it. I rolled out a thin rope of lavender fondant to go around the circle as trim and to make the bow.

I soon rediscovered my passion for baking and cake decorating. I would always bring back new ingredients and ideas from the places I visited and incorporate them into my cake recipes. Read More…
