This beautiful cake design was actually thought up by the lovely young lady who was celebrating her Bat Mitzvah. She came to me with a detailed sketch and everything!
The two tiered mermaid cake has been airbrushed in a blue gradient. The mermaid on top was hand modeled out of fondant. The little sea creatures, which included turtles, dolphins, sea horses, snails, whales, clown fish, and sea stars, are also made of fondant that was hand painted. If you like the sea animals on the cake you can custom order them from my Etsy shop.
In addition two cupcake towers flank the small cake. The cupcakes were vanilla and chocolate cake frosted in tinted vanilla buttercream and topped with a matching sea creature.
